The much-awaited notification regarding the UGC NET December 2025 examination has finally been announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This exam is critical for English graduates aspiring for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions in Indian universities and colleges.

Eligibility for UGC NET English 2025
- Master’s degree or equivalent in English Literature or allied subjects
- Candidates appearing in the final year of their Master’s degree are also eligible to apply
- 55% for General category
- 50% for reserved category
- No upper age limit for Assistant Professor eligibility
- Up to 30 years for Junior Research Fellowship (relaxations applied as per government rules)
