The UP TGT syllabus has received an important addition. Along with the existing subject-specific sections, the revised syllabus now includes General Knowledge and General Scien, carrying 30 questions. This update is significant for all UP TGT aspirants because students must now prepare not only English and literature, but also general awareness, science, technology, and education-related topics.

The new section is divided into three units:

Unit 3: General Science, ICT and Educational Technology
The third unit includes:
– General Science, technology, and the environment in the contemporary context.
– Human health and hygiene.
– Vitamins, minerals, diseases, and deficiency diseases.
– Hormones and enzymes.
– Computer and internet terminology.
– Uses of ICT.
– Developments in educational technology.
This unit combines science, health, computers, and education technology. It is therefore important for students to prepare each topic separately and practise objective-type questions regularly.
