• Bachelor’s degreewith English as a subject in all three years from a recognized university.
• Ed. or 4-year integrated B.A.-B.Ed./B.Sc.-B.Ed.(NCTE recognized).
• CTET Paper II(often preferred/required; check official notice).
• Age:Maximum 35 years; relaxations for SC/ST/OBC per central norms.

For PGT English:

• Postgraduate degree(M.A. English) with at least 50% marks from a recognized university.
• Ed. or equivalent teacher qualification (NCTE recognized)or 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed./B.A. + B.Ed.
• Age Limit:Up to 40 years; relaxation for reserved categories.

GENERAL/COMMON PAPER (TGT, PGT)

• General Awareness:History, geography, culture, current affairs (edu. focus).
• Reasoning Ability:Verbal reasoning, analytical skills, problem-solving, relations, arrangements.
